Margaret McGregor, whose endeavour is to ensure that students are educated to their fullest potential, holds both Practitioner of Aromatherapy and Practitioner of Relaxation Massage certificates. She trained at the Shirley Price Aromatherapy training college in Hinckley, Leicestershire, England and after a rigorous training program graduated to become Australia's only fully qualified teacher of Aromatherapy from this training college.
In 1993, Margaret was invited to teach the Shirley Price Bodywork Certificate in Singapore and has continued to go back there two or three times a year. Singapore, being an international port, attracts students from nearby countries such as Malaysia, Taiwan and Hong Kong. There are now qualified Shirley Price Aromatherapists in these countries as well. Margaret encourages her many students, around the world, to develop and expand and to work in the fields of their choice with the confidence that they have gained the professional standard to be accepted as true natural health practitioners world wide.
Margaret, who was, for six years, the President was instrumental in opening the Australian branch of International Society of Professional Aromatherapists (ISPA)
In 1995 Margaret obtained her certificate as a Flower Essences Therapist and she also gained her certificates in Reiki Levels 1 & 2. As well as this, Margaret found time to take a group of 12 people to France on a French Study Tour.
By 1996 the reputation of the Australian School of Awareness (ASA Australia) had started to grow, worldwide, with students from overseas as well as from Australia at the school. During this year Margaret was invited to teach the first two classes of the Shirley Price Aromatherapy Bodywork
certificate in Taiwan. This continued into 1997 and beyond.
In 1997 Margaret put together the Clinical Practitioners Diploma Course and among the notable lectures were Shirley and Len Price from the Shirley Price Aromatherapy Training College in England
In 1998 Margaret also developed the Australian Holistic Aromatherapy Diploma Course which is accredited with the International Federation of Aromatherapists (IFA) and The Australian Traditional Medicine Society. (ATMS)
1998 also saw Margaret obtain her Master/Teacher certificate in Reiki and she has since taught Reiki Levels 1 & 2 to many of her students as part of the Holistic Healing Diploma Course.
In 2001 Margaret was invited to teach the Holistic Aromatherapy Diploma Course in Canberra (ACT) and Batemans Bay (NSW)
In 2003 the Holistic Aromatherapy Diploma Course will be, along with Relaxation Massage, be taught in Singapore and Taipei (Taiwan).
